Coeur De La Vallée
Luxury Gîte in the Bresle Valley, Normandy
About
Welcome to Coeur De La Vallée, 'Heart of the Valley'.
Our gÎte is in a picture postcard location, nestled in a beautiful valley in North-East Normandy, where you can truly relax
and enjoy the French countryside. The converted barn has recently been renovated to the highest quality, it feels exceptionally luxurious, yet homely and charming. As a British family we have embraced the stunning French character
and added a touch of English elegance. This rural retreat is an idyllic place to relax, with breath-taking views of the valley,
a spacious open-plan living area and ample outdoor space, including a terrace with barbeque and 'pick your own' herb garden. One of the absolute highlights has to be the hot tub, the perfect accompaniment to your retreat where you can unwind in a blissful, bubbly, oasis. With four double bedrooms the property sleeps up to eight guests.
Coeur De La Vallée really is the ideal place for your holiday, whether it be a family adventure, or a couples escape we
have everything to offer. The ample outdoor space and panoramic views make this a really unique and special place
to spend your holiday. With leisurely alfresco dinners in the evening you can sit back on the terrace with the firepit glowing and admire the stunning sunset. During the winter, you can snuggle up and warm your toes by the wood burner, while
you watch a film or play a board game. The property is well equipped with modern amenities throughout, including an
all important Nespresso Citiz coffee machine. Upon arrival, our guests will be greeted by Louise and shown around the property. You will be provided with an information guide and a basket of half a dozen fresh eggs from our free-range chickens.
The nature lovers will be in their element, with a bounty of wildlife to be seen, including buzzards, red squirrels, deer,
swans and hares. Our guests are more than welcome to meet our chickens and pygmy goats! Just a minutes' walk from the property is a collection of lakes which you can stroll around. If you fancy immersing yourself into the typical French
way of life, then we have a beautiful scenic route whereby you can walk to the local boulangerie to buy your fresh
baguette or croissants in the morning.
With regards to our location we are just 1 hour 30 minutes from Calais, and 50 minutes from Dieppe with easy access
from the UK. The region is rich in history and culture, with an abundance of chateaus and cathedrals to explore,
architecture to admire and typical French markets to wander round.

Your Hosts
Bonjour! We are Ben, Louise, Kevin &
Jill (bottom to top) and we moved
to Normandy in June 2018. It's been
a dream of ours to move to France
for a few years, having visited this region several times (mostly due
to Ben's passion for carp fishing).
In November 2017 we found this property and instantly fell in love.
We proceeded to sell our home in
Kent, England and along with Louise's parents (and between us our seven pets), we moved across the channel and haven't looked back since.
We love the relaxed French way of
life, the stunning countryside and
the ease of access back to Kent to
see friends and family.
Our plot is spread over seven acres, consisting of woodland, paddocks and large gardens, plus the Bresle River runs through the proprty. We are planning on being as self-sufficient as possible, with the addition of our seven gorgeous hens for fresh eggs and our vegetable plot coming along nicely.
continued...
With home grown produce in mind we provide our guests with half a dozen fresh, free-range eggs from our hens with more available to purchase and during harvest we offer our guests the opportunity to buy freshly picked fruit and vegetables from our garden.
Our ambition has always been to
go over and above our guests' expectations with thoughtful touches throughout the property, a warm welcome and a friendly face for any questions or needs during their stay.
Although we haven't been living in Normandy for long, we have explored the area as much as possible so that we can recommend our personal favourite places to visit, and we must say the list is extensive, there really is something for everyone here.
